You think Deuteronomy 22:5 means God punishes humans for wearing clothing perceived (by fellow humans) as belonging to the opposite sex.
Okay, how do you deal with Jesus, in Matthew 6:25, saying not to worry about clothes? Why is there not any attention to gendered clothing anywhere else in the Bible? Why is Joseph wearing a female garment?- the ‘coat of many colors’ in Genesis 37:3 is mentioned in 2 Samuel 13:18 as being worn by ‘virgin daughters of the king’.
More centrally, please attend to scholarly readings of Deut 22:5 noted here (for starters). That author concludes: “The evidence indicates that Deut 22:5 prohibits a particular type of cultic activity…”
Otherwise you seem to think “No it’s not!” is a serious reply.
