Yes, the Christian project is understood as ‘contrary to nature’ (Romans 11:17). The psuchikos or ‘natural person’ (cf. 1 Cor 2:14, etc.) is an undesirable state.
Interestingly, I was reading the Apocalypse of Peter, the early Christian text that invented the idea of ‘hell’. It throws into eternal punishment “they who defiled their bodies acting as women” and women who “lay with one another as a man with a woman.”
The effort here is creating a protection around male authority, not to be given up if one is a man, and not to be seized if a woman.
