Yes, I see how awful God looks in the Christian reading of OT law as "ideal rules for life." God looks cruelly indifferent!!

In fact, OT law is managing spiritual concerns of deities, using terms that scholars- as I show in this article- are only lately starting to understand. It wasn't anything that anyone previously had guessed.
