Where is Phil "abusing" One?

All the runaway slave theorizing is just a lot of Christian guesswork operating without textual support.

If One is a sex slave then there would be angst about the relationship in view of traditional Jewish ideas about queer situations. (Though insert grousing about Herod getting away with his eunuchs without comment from Jewish authorities. See following paper.)

If One is a castrated slave then he may well feel the Jewish vibe is barring him from becoming Christian. That would be expected.

Paul then sets them all straight. The two may be as close as they are able. The Christian teachings are to be one family, one person in Christ Jesus. To be close in flesh & spirit is as close as people can be. Philemon situates queer sex as a Christian practice.
