Well, I'm trying to figure that out. In her book 'Deceived No More', Doreen Virtue cites the prohibitions on divination, etc., in Lev 19:31 & 20:27 & Deut 18:10-11. She doesn't note the penalty supplied in Leviticus 20:27—it's death by stoning.

What is the status of a Christian person citing these passages in OT law as an ongoing ban? Perhaps they'll say death isn't called for, but rather, guidance and messaging, or maybe excommunication.

I'm unclear what NT passages help out here. If Levitical law is being cited, then Levitical punishments seem to me to apply.
