Well, I think queer coding is a language that is meant to be both explicit and deniable. When I look at Luci Swindoll it seems just obvious that she's lesbian, but when I examined her career the moment that really extruded is when she laid into "legalism" on a T.V. interview. It just seemed like the real subject there was sexuality.
