Truthfully I'm not sure 'sexual identity' is anything but a long effort to learn to love as God does. Male, female, everyone. And does evil want men to be loved? Men are to be carted off to war to be slaughtered! Men are to be trained to do evil bidding! Not to be free or to be loved.

In the story you tell there's a combat with many systems of power. The gay combat with systems of evil. At the end you realize the Bible that seemed to empower the high & mighty was a quite different text. It was all hoax readings enforced by theological terror. And the straight people who'd held themselves out as 'normal' and powerful—were the slaves being played for fools.
