Straight people claimed the Bible and interpreted it to suit their interests, claiming it removed the LGBTQIA+ from the human community.
So then LGBTQIA+ was everything removed, and had to try and contend for spiritual status.
Jennings comes along and notes the Bible is very LGBTQIA+, which confuses everybody.
I think the design of the gospels, as Jennings helps to understand, is that Jesus is a very "queer" figure—who is wanting S people to join to make something new: the H people. The human.
The hardest part will be straight men. They will need the most work.
But the inexorable project of the Jesus energy is to bring even straight men, those snapping, prideful monsters, into community.
