Thanks, yes, I was just looking over a discussion of that issue in the context of the early Christian writer Ireneaus also believing Christ is spoken of in Gen 1:3. A scholar comments:

"He treats the Hebrew verb 'created' (bara) as if it were the Aramaic noun meaning 'the son' (bara) and understands it to mean, 'The Son was in the beginning; later God created the heavens and the earth.'"
