Thanks. One of the many interesting points to me about Morton Smith's story is that Bible scholars are tasked with researching the current world. They usually investigate the ancient world in a way that's typically very obscure. But with their research into the current world, we can follow along with their research methods, to see how they go about finding information and making conclusions. It's not usually that pretty.
