Thanks, I’ll put some “purity” references together. Basically, the Temple is where Heaven & Earth meet in OT practice. To enter the Temple grounds, as as Passover, the Jewish person must “purify”—a physical process of purging idolatrous energies that accumulate physically, as through food, etc.

For a Christian person, Jesus is the Temple. To “purify” is a spiritual process of approaching him and being “within him” (cf. John 17:23). It has nothing to do with physical touching, sexual or otherwise.
