Thanks! I will think about where Christian anti-Semitism comes from. I think most fundamentally, Christians like feeling theologically "superior," and read New Testament theology to facilitate that idea.
But I think that Jews have often been raised to be verbal, inquisitive, probing ("to be a Jew is to ask questions"). To Christians, conformity (i.e. "faith") was the idea, and so Christian read Jews as unnaturally mentally active. In his taped conversion with Nixon, Billy Graham said Jews “have a strange brilliance about them” and are behind “all your religious deceptions.”
