Thanks for this important update, James. I must say that, having seen so many reports like this, I have to suggest that child rape is actually being encouraged in Evangelical church culture.

I'm reading tonight the child abuse victim narrative of Evangelical superstar Sandi Patty: "The only area in life where Sandi felt good enough was when she was singing."

Here's what I'm seeing: the abused child, shamed, assaulted, guilt-ridden- becomes the model Christian believer.
