The JPS translation is just the KJV with some tweaks.

I'll make a comment on translations in general. If looking at the JPS, I would not say, "Oh, here is the Hebrew translated into English by Jews."

I would say, "What were Jewish interests needing the Bible to do for them in 1917?"

Rabbinic theology is very complex, and in my post, I tried to be careful in my phrasing. I said that Lev 18:22 was not read rabbinically as a reference to homosexuality as an orientation, and I noted that the rabbis focused on the plurality of "lyings"—a matter that Christian interpreters simply ignore.
