What I feel drawn to try & help formulate, maybe with the title Jesus the Lover, is a teaching tool to structure the sexual moment. What is one attempting to do, as a lover? That feels like a spiritual concern.
If a male-female couple, for example, is the man trying to reinforce his maleness, to do the male activity? The Jesus teachings (“one in Christ”) would seem to say, no, we’re being drawn into a union, we’re merging into a singularity.
But this requires a deconstruction, I guess, of entrenched Christian views that sex role is to be enforced and strengthened.
