Thank you for this clarification. I see that Black people claiming Jewish identity might be referencing real situations like the Lemba of South Africa.

I don't find it too outrageous or unserious to claim Black people are "Jew also." The flight from Egypt is multi-racial in Exodus 12:38, as “many other people went up with them.”
