Thank you. I also feel that ‘community love’ is the ideal of the Jesus teachings. As we are ‘one body’ and ‘one in Christ’, a feeling of oneness with others seems to be the idea, so the usual marriage mentality would seem to be anti-Christian. The word kollaó, to unite or glue together, is used both of the spiritual “one flesh” marriage (which is between God and humans), and also of individual Christians in community. For awhile gays were “family” to each other, but that seems to have diminished. Perhaps the ‘gay’ phase was humans of the same gender acknowledging each other, awakening to each other’s presence.
