Ham wasn't looking to 'humiliate' Noah. In the Bible, to "see the nakedness" of a man meant to have sex with his wife (cf. Lev 18:7–8; 18:14, 16; 20:11, 30, 21).
Ham fucked Noah's wife, likely a step-mother. It could be a bid to take control of the family through the woman, a typical biblical situation.
