Of the four religion writers as you profile them, I'm most in sympathy with your own approach. The Bible is clearly a riddle (Ezekiel 17:2, etc.). As Jesus tells parables (the same word as 'riddle'), I'm not sure the entire messianic story is also not a riddle.

I'm not sure that I know what you surmise might happen if the text is 'decoded'. As best I can tell, the process of working through the riddle is seen as the road to higher consciousness, and might be seen as positioning humans to be re-embodied or resurrected as deities or higher spirits.
