No figure in the Bible is Christian in the sense of belonging to a religion!

I was just reading a study about the apostle Paul, which notes:

"We should be aware that the word 'Christian' appears nowhere in Paul's letters and was not used by believers to refer to themselves until several decades after Paul lived. He cannot, therefore, properly be called a Christian. Nor was the religion Paul was espousing known as Christianity, a designation that arose near the end of the first century."
