Love the contemplation!! I myself struggle to see any divisions in the law, or see how the many NT references to it make possible the separations you require.

The law is the law, and if you try and follow one part, you are obligated to it all (cf. James 2:10; Galatians 5:3).

My discussion of Jesus’ love commandment of John 13:34 makes a point I’d raise here, if I could. It can seem the underlying reference is to Leviticus 19:18, ‘love your neighbor as yourself.’

But Leviticus 19:18 confines the love to the neighbor, and the measurement is ‘yourself’. In John 13:34 we have “Love one another” — without any limits, and using, not oneself, but Jesus as the standard.

They’re then different and mutually exclusive.

John 13:34 is a ‘new’ commandment, which is exactly what Jesus said.
