In Buddhism, of course, emptiness is the goal. A thought from Chogyam Trungpa:

"In examining who we are, we find, according to both the hinayana and the tantric observation, that we are nobody—rather, nonbody. We might ask, 'How is that possible? I have a name. I have a body. I eat. I sleep. I lead my life. I wear clothes.' But that is precisely the point: we misunderstand ourselves, our nonexistent selves."
