I see the man looking more Middle Eastern. A Dead Sea Scroll (4Q534–536 d) has a messianic prophesy that his “hair will be red.” That may suggest the David-like “reddish” look.
And please recall that the gospels only speak of Joseph’s genealogy. Nothing can be said about Jesus’ appearance, even his race. Mary’s genealogy is concealed.
And then Jesus’ body seems to keep changing, as disciples keep not recognizing him!
