I don't think Evangelicalism is a coherent viewpoint. It's a shifting mix of folk beliefs and political attacks. Key Evangelical leaders aren't even Evangelical, like Elisabeth Elliot was publicly Episcopal and privately Catholic.
Following NT Wright- or CS Lewis- many Evangelical clerics might be privately Anglican, i.e. Catholic but not wanting to display open fealty to Rome.
