I see you're a very insightful reader. But I don't see how, in this case, the Genesis Creation story really at all suggests the serpent is a source of human potential or illumination, i.e. Kundalini.

The story is that the serpent wants the humans dead. It doesn't have any wonderful properties that the humans can realize in themselves.
