I don't get the non-Jewish interest in the Ten Commandments. They're codes for ritual purity, and impose huge punishments. A violation of the Sabbath (Saturday) has a death penalty (Numbers 15:36).

As a means of regulating interactions between humans, Jesus' teaching "Love one another" is far more comprehensive.
