Hmm, well I don't think those choices really get to the issue.
I don't expect an Evangelical outlet to be truthful on any subject, so the CT staffer reading my piece & using some research from it was unusual and interesting. They didn't do it to be truthful, I suspect, but out of ongoing warfare between CT and the Southern Baptists (who kicked the CT editor, Russell Moore, out of their denomination).
The writer of the obituary, btw, is a liberal Democrat hired to navigate Evangelical issues. He was profiled in this news article.
