Hey thanks much. Wow, a lot of interesting subjects there. I'll keep it all in mind.

The New Testament actually has a portrait of a female-centered religion. The Temple of Artemis in Ephesus, a huge presence throughout all the epistles, was run by priestesses.

As the 1–2 Timothy letters are full of vexed talk around women, I take the basic subject to be a lot of Ephesian women not being used to thinking of men as having spiritual ability. A totally reasonable opinion, but not the Christian teaching.
