Hey thanks! I admire how you’re probing the references and seeing the problems. The solution is to realize the context in which Jesus is speaking is different than the ordinary usages. I’d add an important data point: He doesn’t care about biological family or human marriages- he says so over and over (cf. Luke 14:26). And he speaks of himself and is spoken of as a ‘Bridegroom’ over and over. This is the marriage that matters and his references to marriage — to us, unexpectedly — refer not to human couplings but to this divine administration of the earth.
