Except Greek translations of Gen 1:3 floated around early Christianity, including in the 'new' Luke manuscript. As Jerome quoted it saying: "in the son, God made heaven and earth.”

This Christian translation is also found in Tertullian and Hilary, and Jerome said it was the "majority" reading of the time.
