As far as I can read the Bible, gendered terms are always used for God. Sometimes they are male and sometimes they are female.

There is apparently a whole Heaven full of personalities or aspects of the deity. El Shaddai seems to be a female appearance of God, as Wisdom is another.

The 'Sons of God', apparently lower divinities, are gendered as very sexual males. Thus the frankly lewd language of passages Ezekiel 16:15,, 23:20, etc.
